ONE SET ONLY: Vintage Retro 1970s Pair of Owls Iron On? Applique? Super Cute

Item: I am unsure what these are - but I think they're applique pieces that, when sewn on to a fabric, the white fabric around them can be removed. I tested this theory on one and it worked, but I could be wrong! The back gets sticky when you iron the face (low iron only).
Condition: unused, unwashed.
Purchase size: the motif is around 13cm wide x 6.5cm cm high. There are six pieces in this set.
