How can I pay?

We accept most credit cards and PayPal for all website orders. PayPal is a fast and secure way to pay directly from your bank account or your credit card. More information about PayPal can be obtained from their website. We expect all orders to be paid when Checkout is complete.

We also accept Afterpay. Afterpay is a buy now, pay later 'laybuy' offer. This page explains how it works. You pay for your goods in four payments spread every two weeks via your Afterpay account. However, we send your goods to you within the normal time frame of a non-Afterpay order.

How much is postage?

Postage price updates due to Australia Post increases are effective July 31, 2026. Australian tracked postage is free for all order above $180.00. Postage prices above 100g of total order weight include tracking and insurance up to the value of $100.00. Postage prices for parcels less than $180.00 in value to Australian buyers are listed below.

Terms:
Weight - the total weight of your parcel, inclusive of packaging and labels
Untracked - your parcel is sent without a number for you, me or Australia Post to use to locate it. This service should only be used if you understand 1. we can't locate a lost parcel 2. we don't refund or compensate for the order or postage charges if it goes missing.
Tracked - your parcel is sent with a tracking number and is scanned at most Australia Post hubs during it's journey. You are also covered for up to $100.00 should your parcel arrive damaged or it goes missing.
Express Post - your parcel will be sent through Australia Post's fastest network - the Express Post network. This means you should receive your parcel within 48 hours of it being posted. This service is also tracked and is covered for up to $100 should your parcel arrive damaged or goes missing. Please note you MUST be in the Australia Post Express Post network to get these super fast speeds. It is up to you, the customer, to check whether you are inside Australia Post's Express Post network - more information is available here. I am actually out of the network, but I drive 20 minutes to get your parcel into it to ensure it's delivered ASAP.

Australian Postage and Delivery Terms

Once your order is in the hands of Australia Post we will not be held liable for damage, missing items or lost orders. Due to the nature of our business (most of our items are one-off or limited quantity), we can't replace orders. In saying that, we understand there is a certain amount of trepidation ordering from an online business for the first time. Rest assured, I have been doing this since 2003, have processed thousands of orders and will always post your order within the promised time frame. Over that time I've had less than five orders go astray.

Update July 2026: we are trialing a new postage tier for smaller items such as single sewing patterns or bags of buttons. If you order weighs less than 100g you'll also be offered untracked postage at Checkout. Please note this means that once I drop your order off at Australia Post it's impossible to trace it's whereabouts. Australia Post also doesn't investigate missing parcels that are untracked. Of course, I would recommend you choose a tracked service during Checkout, but I understand cost of living is tough at the moment and saving every dollar counts.

International Shipping Information

We have decided to suspend/limit our international deliveries due to to the confusion around import fees, tariffs and landing fees some countries have recently introduced. I'll be updating this Policy as I re-introduce countries to our Shipping list. Please note shipping costs DO NOT include any import fees, landing fees, tariffs or any such fee maintained by the customers country. You may have a small fee to pay when your order arrives, so please keep this in mind when ordering - specific import fees are usually available on Customs websites for each country. I recommend researching these before you order to ensure you're not disappointed when your order arrives and you need to pay monies to Customs.

When will my order arrive?

We post orders on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and use Australia Post to deliver all parcels. Express Post orders are posted within 24 hours and Tracked Post orders take two days to process.

Current delivery estimates from Australia Post vary from state to state. Deliveries can be within days if you're located in Victoria or, in some instances such as delivery to Western Australia and remote areas of certain States or Territories, it can take two or more weeks for orders to arrive. Express Post is within 48 hours of posting if you're within the Express Post network.
