Returns and Privacy Policies
Firstly, if you’re unsure whether a fabric will suit your project feel free to contact us for a fabric swatch. Being 100% sure the fabric suits your project is better than receiving fabric you’re unhappy with. Please note due to some fabric cuts swatches may not be available, though.
Every now and then customers purchase fabric that doesn’t meet their needs and ask if they can return it to our store. If you find yourself in this situation please note the following Return Policy.
Contact us as soon as you receive the fabric to let us know you would like to return it. We shall provide you with our return address and log the fabric being returned. Fabric must be returned within 14 working days of our email.
You must cover all costs of the return of the fabric and must return the fabric via tracked post. This ensures your delivery can be located if it goes missing in transit.
Once we receive the fabric we shall email you to confirm its arrival. The fabric must be in identical condition to how it left us – unwashed, unused, uncut or as per each fabric listing description. If it is in any way not in identical condition we will not accept the return of the fabric and you will have the option of paying for it to be sent back to you.
When we have received the fabric we shall issue you with a refund or equal store credit valid for 12 months (your choice), less 10% of the fabric cost (administration/restocking fee). Please note this return policy is compliant with Victorian refund policy laws. For further information please refer to Consumer Affairs Victoria.
Please note that unless you choose to have your parcel insured we will NOT refund any monies for fabrics or postage when it is the fault of the postage carrier. We highly recommend choosing to have your parcel registered as it is covered for loss or damage in transit and we can lodge a claim on your behalf with Australia Post.

We need limited information from you in order to fulfill your order. We need your name, address and sometimes your phone number to get your order to you. Phone numbers are used by postal services worldwide and this is only what your phone number will be used for, if necessary. Your information stays with Retro Age Vintage Fabrics and won't go any further - we don't deal with any third parties and do not pass on, nor sell, any private details.
