Item: this quilt looks to be made from mostly 70s fabrics but it's impossible to say when it was actually constructed and completed. It has wonderful overall fade giving it that lovely aged look. The hexies look to have been hand stitched and the quilting and binding is machine stitched (very naive in places). The packing is plain white cotton and there is some type of wadding in the middle.
Condition: in good condition - it could do with a dry clean and some hexies have a spot or two. There are also a couple that will need to be repaired and some that will need to be resewn together. A couple of paint spots. Overall fade which adds to the charm, I think.
