Postage Price Changes July 2025 July 08 2025
Hello All
It's that time of year again when the behemoth Australia Post increases their postage charges. Whilst I absorb postage when I can, I do have to pass on some nominal increases with much regret. In saying that, I've changed the weights of the parcels so that you can fit more fabric in a parcel without going to the next postage increment.
Australia Post has now introduced a new size of envelope - it's called 'extra small'. It's a great size for sewing patterns, buttons and trims - smaller items that are too thick for a letter size, but too small for the usual 'small' satchel. I've increased the postage weight from 100g to 200g, but the price has gone from $8.50 to $10.00 (insert sad Ness face).
The other postage charges have mainly increased by 50 cents, but, once again, I've increased the amount of weight I can post for that charge. I've also capped the postage at $20 for any orders weighing more than 2kg (insert happy Ness face).
I wish I was a ginormous business that can offer free postage for all orders, but as a small business running on the love of vintage fabric, that's just impossible. I have seen some very high prices being charged for vintage fabric these days, but I will continue to keep the prices as low as I can to ensure as much pre-owned vintage and modern fabric and haberdashery finds a new forever home as possible. People have asked me why I bother with $2.00 buttons or trims for $3.00 - well...it's because I love it and every piece needs a new home, no matter the value.
Have a wonderful day wherever you are. Send some sunshine my way...I am now totally over this Victorian Winter!
